Plans for a new square where visitors to Gloucester can sit and relax have been drawn up.
Peel, owners of Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet Centre, want to transform Pillar and Lucy Square, the area in front of Coal Grill and Bar.
The public realm scheme includes seating for around 150 people, a tensile membrane event space canopy, benches and festoon lighting.
In a covering letter to Gloucester City Council, WYG Group on behalf of clients Gloucester Quays, say: "This application represents further investment into Gloucester, which when combined with other development delivered by our client and others will contribute to the continued successful regeneration of this part of central Gloucester.
"The proposed alterations to the square have been carefully considered and will enhance the space and provide a more attractive focal point and meeting place within the wider Gloucester Quays site."
Meanwhile work has begun on transforming Orchard Square at Gloucester Quays into a public space with performance area as part of a £100 million investment by Peel over the next three years.
