New appointment for engineering company

Gloucester-based CKF Systems Ltd has strengthened its UK operation with the appointment of Tim Redding as sales engineer.

Tim (pictured) joins from a major manufacture of sensors, line controls and test and inspection equipment where he was Sales Account Manager for Europe, India and Russia.

"Tim is highly talented and his experiences will be invaluable," said Bryan Wheeler, CKF Systems Ltd, managing director. "He has developed a vast array of technical knowledge since becoming an electrical and mechanical engineer and follows in the footsteps of three CKF directors who completed engineering apprenticeships."

CKF Systems of Olympus Park, Quedgeley is a specialist in turnkey robotic systems, conveyor systems and robotic palletising.

Tim lives in Redmarley with wife Debs and two children, Lucy and Chloe. He was the fourth generation of his family to undertake a Metal Box apprenticeship in pursuit of a career in engineering.

His hobbies include sailing and mountaineering and he once took a sabbatical and lived in Anchorage, Alaska where he became a guide in the Talkeetna Mountains.
