New affordable homes in Bishop's Cleeve

Thirty families have found a new affordable home thanks to Evesham-based Housing Association, Rooftop Housing Group, and building contractor Speller Metcalfe.

Rooftop Housing Group housing director Lisa Nicholls said: "We are delighted that 30 families are now part of this growing community. These local families have a wonderful, secure, safe, and affordable home they can be proud of.

"As Rooftop Housing Group customers, they will have all the support they need to ensure they can remain in their home and be part of this community for years to come."

Rooftop Housing Group partnered with construction company Speller Metcalfe to bring this community together.

Mark Eaton, living manager at Speller Metcalfe, said: "We are delighted to see The Cleevelands development ready for residents, which will enable people from the community access homes in their local area.

"Not only are these great quality properties, but the sustainable features will help keep running costs down at a time when many are experiencing increased financial pressures."

Rooftop already has a strong presence in Bishops Cleeve and these homes are part of Rooftop Housing Group's ambitious plan to provide 1,000 local families with a new home between 2021 and 2026.

Rooftop Housing Group development director David Hannon said: "Affordable homes are hugely important across our communities. Built to our Rooftop Living Homes Standard, these homes are environmentally sustainable and offer high levels of thermal efficiency to make sure that they are affordable to heat.

"As house prices increase, and the cost of living rises, our homes are needed more than ever."
