Leadership succession at Spirax-Sarco

Cheltenham-based Spirax-Sarco Engineering's new group chief executive has commenced his role.

Further to the announcement made on 8 August 2023, Nimesh Patel has started his role at the leading global thermal energy management and fluid technology solutions group, following the retirement of Nicholas Anderson.

Phil Scott has also taken up the position of Interim chief financial officer.

Group chief executive Nimesh Patel said: "I am privileged to be taking on the leadership of this great company at such an exciting and important time.

"Under Nick's leadership we have evolved to become a larger and stronger group of three aligned businesses with differentiated and complementary capabilities.

"What we do is critical to the efficiency, safety and sustainability of our customers' industrial processes and equipment, including the delivery of decarbonisation solutions in support of their sustainability goals.

"I am looking forward to working with my executive team and colleagues across the organisation to deliver on the exciting opportunities we see ahead for the group in 2024 and beyond."

Spirax‐Sarco Engineering plc is a leading global thermal energy management and fluid technology solutions group. It comprises three world‐leading businesses: Steam Specialties, for the control and management of steam; Electric Thermal Solutions, for advanced electrical process heating and temperature management solutions; and Watson‐Marlow, for peristaltic pumping and associated fluid path technologies.

The group is headquartered in Cheltenham and has 40 strategically located manufacturing plants around the world and employs more than 10,000 people, including more than 2,100 direct sales and service engineers.
