Laura Ashley to return to fashion

Laura Ashley is set to makes its fashion comeback, after appointing a US marketing and brand licensing company.

All 70 of Laura Ashley's stores, including the one on Cheltenham Promenade, closed in March 2020, after the retailer failed to secure emergency funding. But its archive and selected assets were rescued by Gordon Brothers, as reported by Retail Gazette.

Under the ownership of Gordon Brothers, the brand has been focused on its homeware offering, which was sold online and in selected Next stores.

Now the deal with US company, IMG, means the brand will extend to clothing, shoes, beauty and accessories, as well homeware, helping the brand expand internationally in stores and online.
