Kat joins team at Cheltenham shopping centre

Kat Mabbott has been appointed to the newly created post of retail liaison officer at Cheltenham's Regent Arcade shopping centre.

She will work as the store managers' point of contact within the centre management team and also be responsible for the centre's social media.

Kat, 25, is no stranger to the retail environment. Originally from Swindon, she joined High Street fashion retailer H & M seven years ago and was part of the team chosen to open the company's flagship Cheltenham store in 2013.

She liked Cheltenham so much she decided to stay on after H & M opened at Regent Arcade and for the past four years has been part of their visual merchandising team.

Kat said: "Having worked in the Regent Arcade for the past four years I have a good understanding of the retail environment here. I am really looking forward to life on the other side of the fence and seeing how different businesses run.

"My aim is to work with tenants to sort out any issues quickly and help them trade to their best ability offering assistance and advice when needed."

Regent Arcade centre manager Scott Lahive said: "We're delighted that Kat has chosen to join the management team for the next phase of her career. She brings with her a huge amount of retail experience and is already a familiar face to many of our tenants."
