Joules sales on the up

Fashion retailer Joules has seen sales jump by nearly a fifth in the first half of its financial year.

Sales rose 17.5 per cent to £96.2 million, aided by a 16.2 per cent rise in retail sales to £65.9 million, in the 26 weeks to 26th November, as reported by Retail Gazette.

Joules opened a new outlet store at Gloucester Quays  just last month, prompting customers to queue from 4am for the chance to pick up a bargain. In total, the company has opened 10 new stores over the last six months.

In July, Joules reported a 34 per cent rise in profits to £10.1 million in its first year since it floated in May 2016.

It seems like shoppers can't get enough of the company's quirky take on casualwear inspired by the English countryside.
