Johnsons Cars is backing Gloucester Tall Ships Festival again

Johnsons Cars have renewed their sponsorship of this weekend's much-anticipated Gloucester Tall Ships Festival.

It is 10th year since Gloucester Tall Ships Festival was first held in the historic Gloucester Docks.

There will be seven tall ships - the most to date - for festival goers to board this Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

Johnsons Cars, which has a dealership in Gloucester, first worked with organisers Marketing Gloucester in 2013 and have supported every Gloucester Tall Ships Festival since.

The sponsorship helps the festival to attract the tall ships and great attractions such the Industry Pro Wakeboard Tour, Newfound Friends and jet-ski displays.

Founded in 1999, Johnsons Cars has built itself up to become one of the largest independent car dealerships in the country, through being committed to providing the highest level of customer care and satisfaction in everything it does, from the supply of new and used vehicles through to servicing and repairs.

Simon Taylor, general manager of Johnsons Cars Ltd, said: "We at Johnsons Cars are proud to be involved with Gloucester Tall Ships. It's our third time in the last five years.

"It is by far the best event of the calendar year and we're really excited to be part of it."

Jason Smith, chief executive of Marketing Gloucester, said: "It's excellent when you build a good, long-term relationship with the sponsor of an event such as Gloucester Tall Ships because it really shows that the partnership is working well for them.

"It has been five years since Johnsons Cars started sponsoring Gloucester Tall Ships and it's fantastic to have their continued support, and even better to know that there are getting real value from it."

News of the deal follows similar agreements with Gloucester Quays, Renishaw, WSP Solicitors and the University of the West of England.
