HSBC to close Gloucestershire branches

Two HSBC banks in the county are set to close next year.

HSBC is to shut 114 branches - more than a quarter of its network - between April and August next year.

The Stroud branch will close its doors on May 16, with the Cirencester branch closing on August 8.

These are just the latest in a long line of branch closures in the county in recent years. Stroud lost its Halifax branch last month and its Barclays branch in January.

HSBC closed 69 branches nationally in 2022.
