High street food store set to return

A popular Tesco store is to re-open in the centre of Cheltenham.

The original Tesco Express on High Street, Cheltenham closed to make way for the rapidly expanding Brewery Quarter shopping centre.

But now a new Tesco store will be returning to open on the High Street on Tuesday, 13 June at 10am. Normal opening hours will be 6am to midnight.

Tesco communications manager Alec Brown said: 'We are excited about opening our new Express store on Cheltenham High Street and our colleagues are really looking forward to serving customers.

"We are delighted to have a presence in the area again and being part of the new Brewery Quarter development."

St Paul's Road Area Residents Association in Cheltenham tweeted the news.

The £30million Brewery Quarter expansion is a high profile retail corridor from the High Street with shops, restaurants, bars, cinemas, 104 bedroom Premier Inn and 34 modern town centre apartments.

Tesco joins such famous brands as Loungers Cosy Club, Soho Coffee, Brewhouse and Kitchen, Coast to Coast restaurant, Wilkinson's and F. Hinds.
