Heart radio's Warren joins the Beeb as new DJ takes breakfast slot

It's all change for the morning slot at Gloucestershire's commercial radio station with former Heart Gloucestershire breakfast presenter Warren Moore switching to the BBC.

Popular Warren joins BBC local radio in the West for a weekend show. His new programme Warren Moore's Mix Tape starts on Sunday July 8 from 1pm till 4pm.

It will be broadcast on BBC Radio Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bristol and Somerset.

Meanwhile Warren's breakfast show on Heart 102.4 FM has been taken over by Myles Galloway putting him head to head with BBC Radio Gloucestershire's breakfast presenter Mark Cummings.

Myles previously worked on Virgin Radio Dubai, where for almost five years he presented the evening show.

Warren Moore said: "The BBC is the most famous name in broadcasting and for every day of my 25-year career, a BBC voice or programme has woken me up, kept me company in the car, brought me the latest score or news headlines from around the West. To be given an opportunity to join that team is something that's really yet to sink in. I'm so lucky."

BBC Radio Gloucestershire Editor Tim Pemberton said: "Warren has wit, knowledge and bags of personality and will be a great complement to our BBC Radio Gloucestershire family."
