Gloucestershire youngsters benefit from Christmas giving campaign
By Sarah Wood | 15th January 2021
Throughout December, 12 charities for children and young people across Gloucestershire benefitted from £6,000 in charitable donations from Cheltenham company, Lansdown Insurance Brokers.
Darren Bee, general manager at Lansdown, said: "The thanks we have received from the charities that received a donation in the 12 Days of Lansdown Giving is humbling. We wanted to provide any support we could to go toward helping even a few of the many children, young people and their families in our community that are finding things truly tough at the moment."
Rosa Barratt, head of development at Allsorts, Stroud said: "Thank you for your generous £500 donation to Allsorts. We are extremely grateful for donations at this tricky time. Despite Covid preventing us from doing lots of face-to-face provision, we are still working with over 260 families and providing a huge range of activities for disabled children and their families."
Each charity that benefitted from the 12 Days of Lansdown Giving received £500 in the run-up to Christmas.
Darren Bee continued: "The beneficiary charities were put forward by members of the Lansdown team, many of whom live in Gloucestershire and are aware of the challenges facing young people in the community and the charities out there that are working so hard to make a difference."
The 12 charities that benefitted from a £500 donation in the 12 Days of Lansdown Giving are:
• Allsorts Christmas Appeal
