Charity teams up with local solicitors for Make A Will Month

Throughout April, local solicitors will be donating time and expertise to support Gloucestershire medical charity Cobalt.

For anyone who has making or updating a will on their to-do list, Cobalt's Make a Will month may be just what they need.

Solicitors will write or update straightforward wills in return for a voluntary donation to the charity. The suggested minimum donation is £100 for a single will and £150 for joint mirror wills - a fraction of what you would normally pay for the same service.

Making a will through the scheme is a great way to not only tick something off your to-do list, but also save money and support Cobalt. Every penny of the donations made through the scheme goes to the charity.

This year most, solicitors are conducting their appointments on a contactless basis (Zoom, telephone etc). Anyone who takes part in the scheme will need to follow the specific safe working practices of the law firm they choose to use.

Peter Sharpe, Cobalt CEO said "A gift in your will ensures we are here for patients in the future too. After remembering family and friends, we are grateful for any support you can give."
