GMS wins facilities contract with Rosebank Health

Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS) has won a new contract to provide essential facilities services to Rosebank Health.

The initial 12-month partnership, which started this month, will see GMS provide internal cleaning, window cleaning and grounds and maintenance services to four GP surgeries in Gloucester.

Under the new contract, GMS will provide 55 hours of out-of-hours cleaning services per week to Rosebank Surgery, Severnvale Surgery and Bartongate Surgery to maintain the highest clinical cleaning standards. It is also due to take on a fourth GP practice, Kingsway Health Centre, later in the year.

GMS provides essential facilities management services to NHS service providers. Established in 2018, it is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This latest contract for GMS shows the value in providing specialist and tailored facilities that are sector-specific and the benefits of offering a local workforce.

The hope is that this contract will progress into a longer-term relationship which can grow and develop and supports GMS' ambition to be a service provider of choice among Gloucestershire's integrated care system.

Keith Hamer, managing director of Gloucestershire Managed Services, said: "We are delighted to be working with Rosebank Health and providing services to its four GP surgeries. The partnership is an example of how our specific healthcare facilities focus allows us to tailor our needs to a variety of healthcare settings, from acute hospitals to community general practices.

"All of our team here at GMS are focused on making a better environment for staff, patients and local communities. Our partnership with Rosebank Health allows us to do just that."

Dr Layzell, clinical director at Rosebank Health, said: "We are pleased to be working with Gloucestershire Managed Services to help look after our four practice sites. GMS has a proven history working with Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we hope we can use their experience and expertise to ensure our practices are maintained to the highest standards."
