Gloucester City Homes (GCH), which manages around 5,000 homes in the area, has been recognised in the Best Companies to Work for 2022 Awards (Quarter 2).

The organisation claimed the titles of 10th Best Housing Association to work for and the 23rd Best Company to work for in the South West.

Based on feedback from 136 members of Gloucester City Homes staff, the accreditation is said to provide valuable insight into their experience of working for the firm.

As a community-based housing association, GCH said it was proud that its staff sees its approach to giving something back to communities as important and a major strength.

Guy Stenson, chief executive of GCH said: "I'm incredibly proud that we have been recognised as one of the top 10 housing associations to work from, particularly as this is based entirely on colleague feedback.

"The insight that the survey gives will help us continue to recognise what we are good at and can build upon as well as those areas that together we can improve.

Anita Pope, director of Housing and Communities at GCH added: "The survey showed that 83 per cent of staff felt proud to work for GCH, 82 per cent agreed that GCH is run on strong values and 83 per cent believe they can make a valuable contribution to our success.

"Contributing to local communities has always been at the heart of GCH's ethos and feedback from the survey shows that our staff really value this.

"These are fantastic results, particularly when you consider the impact of the last two years and the significant changes we have made to how we work. Overall great feedback that represents our community focused organisation."

GCH was also recognised in 2020 as the 40th best employer in the Sunday Times Top 100 non-profit category.
