Man charged with supplying Class A drugs

Police have arrested a 32-year-old man from Gloucester on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs in Newent.

The man was arrested by officers on Thursday (24 March) and has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug and possession of criminal property. He has been remanded in custody and is due in court at a later date.

Inspector Nick Cook said: "We would like to thank members of the Crime Ops and Neighbourhood Policing Team, for their help.

"We will continue to proactively target drug dealers and welcome any information you have about this kind of activity in the community.
