Gloucester homeless charity welcomes £3,000 cheque raised through 10k run
7th November 2017
Construction company EG Carter & Co presented a cheque for £3,000 to city homeless charity Nightstop, as main sponsors for the Gloucester 10k race.
Organised by Gloucester-based solictors Davies & Partners and the Quays Rotary Club, the event also raised money for the county's Young Carers group.
Accepting the cheque, Nightstop project manager Ciaran Murphy said: "We have been so impressed with the effort put in by the team at EG Carter who, along with the Quays Rotary Club, has raised an amazing amount of money for our organisation.
"As a small charity, this donation will make a huge positive impact on the service we offer and all of it will go directly to the young people of Gloucestershire."
Also at the presentation was Gloucester student Sanduni, who shared her story about how Nightstop has helped her and her family after losing their accommodation through no fault of their own.
EG Carter continues to raise money for their two charities of the year, Nightstop and Cancer Research UK.
