Games Workshop profits keep growing

Games Workshop has posted another jump in pre-tax profit and revenues for the year.

The retailer, which has stores in Cheltenham and Gloucester, saw pre-tax profit rise 3.7 per cent to £156.5 million in the year to May 2022, with sales up 12.25 per cent to £414.8 million, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Since the start of the pandemic, Games Workshop has seen record levels of trade, as people looked for ways to occupy themselves while spending more time at home.

The trend has continued since Covid restrictions were lifted, with hobbies proving resilient despite the cost of living crisis.

Games Workshop saw a three per cent drop in online sales compared to the previous year, as in-store sales got back to normal levels.

The retailer missed out on around £4 million in sales over the year due to suspending trading in Russia in February.
