New Gloucestershire group combines community services and sport

A diverse team in Gloucestershire is launching a range of services that will deliver life-changing support and opportunities through football and physical activity.

FF6 CIC (Community Interest Company) comprises passionate individuals who have identified the power of sport to change lives and provide opportunities for people who are facing challenges - from mental health to physical health. And unlike many companies - they employ professionals who have experienced overcoming adversity in their own lives.

Jacob Ferguson, who is leading the group, said: "We identified a lack of hope, ambition and opportunities for people in Gloucestershire and we will formulate change.

"FF6 CIC will promote health and wellbeing through football and physical training programmes - all supported by mentors, counsellors, personal trainers and FA-qualified coaches."

While many companies work with young people facing disadvantage and marginalisation, FF6 CIC team members have all dealt with challenges in their own lives, making them better suited to help others on their journey. When necessary, clients can transition from one service to another.

Not only does FF6 engage with the community, we also offer off-pitch support services, with our communities wellbeing at the forefront of your delivery." says Jacob.

FF6 CIC was registered in March 2022 borne from ideas formulated in lockdown. More information on activities, after-school clubs and tournaments can be found via social media (Instagram.com/ UKFF6) and soon on its new website.
