Fatal collision in the Forest of Dean

Police are appealing for witnesses of a fatal collision which took place in the Forest of Dean during the early hours of Friday morning (April 8).

Emergency services were called to Beach Lane in the Bromsberrow Heath area shortly after 12.25am with a report of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle rider.

The rider of a grey Honda PCX 125 motorcycle, a man in his 30s from the Ledbury area, was treated at the scene but sadly passed away. His next of kin are aware and being supported by specially trained officers.

The road was closed for approximately eight hours whilst an examination took place by Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.

Officers investigating the collision would like to hear from anyone who has not already spoken to police and has information they feel may be relevant.

As well as this anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage which shows the motorcycle in the lead up to the collision is also asked to make contact.

Information can be submitted to police by calling 101 or online, quoting incident 4 of 8 April.
