Estate agents Perry Bishop and Chambers have launched a new branch in Stroud.

The outlet in London Road is the company's fifth office in Gloucestershire with a sixth in Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

The new Stroud branch manager is Allison-Jayne Smith, known as AJ, (pictured) who has been working as an estate agent for over 20 years.

She said: "I have a real passion for helping people on the move and strongly believe that those agents who go that extra mile play a vital role in the community they serve.

"Stroud and the surrounding villages are very special indeed and I am thrilled to be setting up what will be the sixth branch of Perry Bishop and Chambers.

"Offering stunning scenery, a vibrant community spirit, great independent shops and restaurants, a wealth of arts and musical events, not to mention the brilliant weekly Farmers' Market, how could anyone not love this unique town and its surroundings."

AJ and her colleagues from Perry Bishop and Chambers will be taking in Stroud's Five Valleys Walk on Sunday 24 September in aid of the local charity Meningitis Now.
