Envesca steering businesses through safety legislation

Safety at work has been a key issue as many offices, factories and shops welcome back staff after the coronavirus pandemic.

But it is nothing new for Envesca, who have been working to help businesses comply with legislation for almost quarter of a century.

Founded in Gloucester in 1996 by Sue and Simon Ellis, the award-winning company offers training, consultancy and support in all aspects of food safety and health and safety.

Envesca runs more than 50 accredited training courses, as well as providing consultancy advice and guidance to help ensure businesses comply with all relevant legislation.

The Safeguard Plus service helps companies when they need it with savings on training and products, together with the ability to prove due diligence and peace of mind - all for a small monthly fee.

Envesca adapted quickly to support customers during the coronavirus with a core team working to support hospitals, food manufacturers and other vital services.

The team has also helped many businesses plan for reopening.

And the need to work from home enabled important conservation work to the company's Grade II listed office located at the junction between Stroud Road and Bristol Road.

By moving their training online, Envesca has enabled people to develop their skills from home.

Using Zoom's interactive video conferencing facilities, training people around the world has proved very effective.

One participant said: "The interaction between the trainer and candidates via Zoom was not affected, in fact the Zoom room for group work was better than face to face."

Envesca offers online accredited examinations with remote invigilation, meaning candidates can achieve a nationally recognised qualification from home.

Sue and Simon Ellis look forward to welcoming the rest of their team back soon, enabling Envesca to help more businesses adapt to the new normal and develop best practises to keep staff and customers safe.
