Downton signs on again as partner of Gloucester Rugby

Gloucester-based logistics firm, CM Downton, has extended its long-standing relationship with Gloucester Rugby.

The Downton name and logo have been a feature on the Gloucester first team kits for a number of years, displayed on the back of the shirt and shorts.

This year, the Downton logo will be positioned on the side panel of the shirt.

Adam Benson, Gloucester Rugby chief commercial officer, Adam Benson, said: "We take great pride in the fact that we are able to count on a number of local businesses as partners and sponsors, and Downton are a prime example of that. Their support is vital to the club and much appreciated.

"The position of their logo on the side panel of the kit is a new move for us. The unique design of the playing shirt has given us an extra area to work with and I think it looks really good.

"Downton has supported Gloucester Rugby for a number of years now and we're delighted that the relationship will continue this season. They're a great local success story, one with national reach and an organisation we're proud to be associated with."

Andy Downton, Downton's managing director, said: "As a local company and supporters of Gloucester Rugby, we're proud to be so closely associated with our local Premiership club. The positioning of our logo on the side panel of the playing shirt is something we're very excited about and we can't wait to see it featured, in what we hope is a successful season for the club and Downton."
