County printer chosen to produce Harry and Meghan's programme

A Gloucestershire printing firm will have a special reason for raising a glass to the royal wedding couple this Saturday.

For Severn was chosen by Regal Press and St James' House to print the souvenir programme for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's big day at Windsor.

Severn, based at Ashville Industrial Estate, Gloucester, had to keep its involvement under wraps until now but we can provide a sneak preview of some of the programme pages.

"We were absolutely delighted to have been awarded such a prestigious contract." said Ian Smith, managing director at Severn. "We all had a touch of wedding fever early watching these beautifully designed books coming off the printing press. It is very exciting to be a part of it all."

The book has been produced on the highest quality paper and its glossy images of the couple are said to simply 'pop' off the page. It will be a souvenir that many will keep for years to come and will no doubt be passed down through the generations.

"All of our contracts are important to us and we pride ourselves on our high standards but we certainly felt the additional pressure to make sure that these were perfect." Ian said.

"Alongside commercial print, a growing area of our business is actually printing books just like these.

"We are definitely hoping that this will be the start of a long and fruitful relationship with St James' House and Regal Press and we wish Harry and Meghan all the happiness for the future from all of us here at Severn."
