Cirencester butchers features on Countryfile

Cirencester butchers Jesse Smith are due to appear on BBC's Countryfile this Sunday (May 1) for the Lambing Special. Tv presenters Anita Rani and local farmer Adam Henson will also be featured.

The family business currently has five sites from the original Black Jack Street store to the modern Jesse's Farm Shop, which opened in 2016.

Six generations of the Smith family have been Cirencester butchers, dating back to 1808. The Hawes family took over the business in 1952 and opened the Tetbury store in 1956.

W.J. Castle Burford and Northleach stores were acquired in 1962.
