Update #9004 - 08.35 Latest coronavirus figures for the UK and Gloucestershire

The latest data for coronavirus cases and deaths of patients with COVID-19 was released yesterday (January 20) by the Government's department of health and social care and NHS England.

Updated UK figures show the total number of deaths within 28 days of positive test rose to 153,202 - which includes those in care homes, hospitals and in the community.

This is an increase of 330 on the previous day's figures.

Across the UK, 107,364 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24-hour period and 15,613,283 since the outbreak began.

But on a more positive note, 52,168,592 people have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of January 19, 48,048,962 have received their second dose and 36,688,441 have received their booster/third dose.

Latest Public Health England figures show that the total number of cases within the county since the start of the pandemic rose to 119,010, as of Thursday afternoon.

The total number of deaths in Gloucestershire within 28 days of a positive test increased to 1,084.

Total cases, updated for the latest 24-hour period, are split across the following regions:

Gloucester - 27,912 cases (increase of 243)

Cheltenham - 22,502 cases (increase of 208)

Stroud - 21,356 cases (increase of 165)

Tewkesbury - 17,588 cases (increase of 194)

Forest of Dean - 14,850 cases (increase of 101)

Cotswold - 14,802 cases (increase of 98)

Update #9003 - 08.30 Latest coronavirus figures for the UK and Gloucestershire

The latest data for coronavirus cases and deaths of patients with COVID-19 was released yesterday (January 19) by the Government's department of health and social care and NHS England.

Updated UK figures show the total number of deaths within 28 days of positive test rose to 152,872 - which includes those in care homes, hospitals and in the community.

This is an increase of 359 on the previous day's figures.

Across the UK, 108,609 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24-hour period and 15,506,750 since the outbreak began.

But on a more positive note, 52,151,643 people have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of January 18, 48,019,069 have received their second dose and 36,621,671 have received their booster/third dose.

Latest Public Health England figures show that the total number of cases within the county since the start of the pandemic rose to 118,001, as of Wednesday afternoon.

The total number of deaths in Gloucestershire within 28 days of a positive test increased to 1,082.

Total cases, updated for the latest 24-hour period, are split across the following regions:

Gloucester - 27,669 cases (increase of 267)

Cheltenham - 22,294 cases (increase of 221)

Stroud - 21,191 cases (increase of 170)

Tewkesbury - 17,394 cases (increase of 180)

The latest data for coronavirus cases and deaths of patients with COVID-19 was released yesterday (January 18) by the Government's department of health and social care and NHS England.

Updated UK figures show the total number of deaths within 28 days of positive test rose to 152,513 - which includes those in care homes, hospitals and in the community.

This is an increase of 438 on the previous day's figures.

Across the UK, 94,432 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24-hour period and 15,399,300 since the outbreak began.

But on a more positive note, 52,133,611 people have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of January 17, 47,989,635 have received their second dose and 36,546,583 have received their booster/third dose.

Latest Public Health England figures show that the total number of cases within the county since the start of the pandemic rose to 116,922, as of Tuesday afternoon.

The total number of deaths in Gloucestershire within 28 days of a positive test increased to 1,078.

This is an increase of 85 on the previous day's figures.

Across the UK, 84,429 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24-hour period and 15,305,410 since the outbreak began.

But on a more positive note, 52,117,863 people have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of January 16, 47,963,133 have received their second dose and 36,473,316 have received their booster/third dose.
