Company gets go-ahead for extension

A Hardwicke company has been granted planning permission for an extension by Stroud District Council.

To meet the demands of its growing business, Ridgeway Glazing Ltd, applied to the council for consent to build additional vehicle, storage and production space, with office accommodation and a new mezzanine floor.

Currently, materials and finished products are stored externally in the loading bay area and the areas to either side. This makes them vulnerable to damage and theft. The extension will provide secure storage for goods, materials and an overnight delivery lorry.

The impact caused by the extension is considered to be minimal. The design and extent of the extension will closely match the existing building.

The company is based at The Perry Centre, off Davy Way in Hardwicke, alongside two similar buildings and close to the A38.
