Financial crime detection and data intelligence firm Ripjar Ltd has announced the appointment of Gabriel Hopkins as chief product officer.

Based at Eagle Tower in Cheltenham, Ripjar said Mr Hopkins will bring more than 20 years of experience in product management and software development to the business.

Before joining Ripjar, he was vice president of product management within the fraud and financial crime team at Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO) for almost ten years. At FICO, he led development of the company's market-leading fraud and financial crime product, Falcon X.

Prior to FICO, Hopkins held various product leadership positions at WorldPay (now FIS) and Adeptra.

In this new role, he will oversee product strategy and execution across Ripjar's portfolio of media, watchlist, investigations and intelligence products.

Gabriel Hopkins said: "I'm thrilled to be joining the talented team at Ripjar as we begin the next stage of our exciting growth journey. Ripjar brings a unique approach to combating financial crime and helping governments and organisations fully utilise and understand their data to detect and track illicit activity. I look forward to helping customers re-imagine how technology can be used to transform their businesses."
