Cheltenham shoplifter sentenced

Rebecca Head, 42, of Moors Avenue, Cheltenham, has been convicted by Cheltenham Magistrates of shoplifting and going equipped for theft with a de-tagging device.

She denied the charges at a trial earlier this month but was found guilty of stealing a pressure washer, mirror, and hosepipe worth a total of £282 from B&Q on January 31, 2022, and of being equipped for theft in Cheltenham on May 16, 2022.

She was bailed until October 7, 2022, for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

At the same court she denied a further charge of stealing a Kindle Fire worth £149.99 from John Lewis, Cheltenham on January 29, and was bailed for trial on October 6.
