Cheltenham forecourt sold to Gardners Garages

A well-known Gloucestershire forecourt operator has announced the purchase of a garage in Charlton Kings.

East End Services on London Road was previously operated as a Gulf garage, but the forecourt and convenience store will be transformed into a BP site under Gardner Garages.

The store is undergoing refurbishment over the coming weeks in line with new branding to offer a complete range of hot food, two Costa Coffee machines, FReal milkshakes and an off-licence.

Chairman Clive Gardner said: "Finally, six months after agreeing to purchase, we are pleased to have completed on the deal today for East End Services, London Road in Cheltenham. Work has already begun on the sites conversion to BP.

"Paul Carr of Carr Stocktakers helped with the smooth takeover with the excellent stock take at 6am and Bowsher's were onsite early this morning to work their magic in transforming the shop.

"An exciting two weeks lie ahead in bringing this iconic site to life."
