A Cheltenham digital accountancy firm has launched an advisory business dedicated to the growing blockchain and cryptocurrency market.
MYNA has been created by Nephos to support the increasing number of businesses and individuals trading in the currency,
A dedicated team of experts will offer advisory and compliance services to businesses accepting the currency as payment, as well as individual investors, with support across a number of cryptocurrency platforms.
Managing director Joe David said: "As a self-professed technology geek and avid follower of this sector, I am beyond excited to be able to create MYNA, a business that will focus solely on this area.
"While the world of cryptocurrency is new for the majority of people, my team and I have been quietly building our knowledge and expertise in this sector for the last few years."
He continued: "As part of this, we have been working alongside a small number of crypto and blockchain businesses behind the scenes, not only helping shape their business but ultimately shaping the market in the UK.
"With cryptocurrency starting to move from the tech pages into the mainstream business and finance news pages, the case for cementing our knowledge into a market leading service is more compelling than ever."
Nephos has been trialling cryptocurrency payments from a small number of clients over the past 18 months.
The launch of MYNA means the facility will be extended to all clients as well as advising on accepting the currency as payment.
The launch builds on Nephos' reputation as one of the most technology-driven accountancy practices in the country.
"We're already working with some high-level businesses in the crypto space and we will be announcing two further high-profile partnerships in the next few days," said Mr David.
"As the demand grows for access to blockchain and cryptocurrency accountancy expertise like ours, we can only see growth in what is a very exciting area."
