CCTV images have been released after a serious assault in Cheltenham over the weekend.

It happened in Regent Street in between the junctions of Rodney Road and Oriel Road just after 3.30am on Saturday (1 April).

A 29-year-old Gloucester man was punched to the head and suffered a broken nose, bump to the head and cuts during the attack. He is still receiving treatment as a result of his injuries.

It is believed that the victim and a friend had been to MooMoo's nightclub prior to the assault and a review of CCTV in the area has been carried out to identify any potential witnesses.

Officers would now like to speak to four men captured on CCTV in connection with the assault.
