Cath Kidston to make high street comeback

Cath Kidston will make a return to the high street, after going into administration in 2020.

The British fashion and homeware retailer, which had stores in Cheltenham and at Gloucester Quays, will open its new store at Westfield White City in London on October 18, as reported by Retail Gazette.

The retailer was bought by Next for £8.5m last year.

It went into administration in 2020 and all 60 UK stores were closed. It secured new funding shortly afterwards and came back as an online retailer.

It was bought by Hilco last year before Next snapped it up in 2023.

Next hasn't confirmed whether there will be more Cath Kidston shops opening in the future.
