Busy A-road next to Cotswold Airport is being resurfaced

The carriageway is in need of essential resurfacing work because it has reached the end of its life expectancy. The road will be closed from Thursday 13th September to Wednesday 19th September. To help keep disruption to a minimum, work will take place during 9:30am to 3:30pm (excluding weekends) and the road will still be open during peak times.

The highways crews will be resurfacing over 2,521m² of road with approximately 300 tonnes of material.

Cllr Shaun Parsons, county councillor for South Cerney division, said: "This is a busy and popular route for road users, so it is vital this resurfacing goes ahead. I would like to thank the local community in advance for their cooperation while the work is carried out."
