BPE signs up new head of employment

BPE Solicitors has recruited Nick Rowe as head of its employment team.

Nick Rowe

He joins BPE from fellow Cheltenham solicitors Lodders, where he has been heading up both their employment team and Office.

In what is a challenging time, the recruitment is an investment in an area which has seen many changes with the introduction of furlough and the need for employees to work from home wherever possible.

Mr Rowe said: "In a time where many people are battening down the hatches and, perhaps naturally, being more cautious about change, I am very confident in my move to BPE.

"The firm's employment team has an excellent reputation in the region and I am very much looking forward to working alongside them with their client base and finding a very good new home for my own clients."

He will head up the employment team at the Tier 1 ranked Legal 500 team alongside partners Heyma Holmes and Sarah Lee, complementing their extensive expertise in tribunal work, TUPE and non-contentious advice.

His reputation in dealing with complex restrictive covenant disputes as an accredited mediator will further strengthen the team's existing depth, skill and client offering.

Managing partner Antonia Shield said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Nick into our partner group. His skillset and approach will be an ideal fit to BPE's culture and offering."

Based in Cheltenham, BPE employs 130 staff in offices in South Gloucestershire and London, together with access points in Cirencester, Bristol and Oxford.
