BPE answers call to go the extra mile

Spring is here and employees of BPE Solicitors are heading out in the better way to clock up the miles for its charity of the year, Severn Freewheelers.

Staff at the Cheltenham solicitors will be aiming to cover 181.8 miles by any way they can in four weeks.

The challenge starts on March 8 and covers the distance supported by the volunteer blood bike charity in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

The team can travel the distance any way they like under their own steam - running, cycling or walking the dog.

BPE senior partner John Workman said: "The past 12 months have seen the demand for the services Severn Freewheelers provide increase exponentially and we're delighted to be continuing our support for the charity again this year.

"The benefits, both mentally and physically, of getting out and about regularly are obvious and I've already signed up to be part of the 'Going the Extra Mile' team.

"I'm going to have to start late after the stitches come out (don't ask) so I'll be playing catch up and aiming to do it in a week if I can."
