Members of the board overseeing the major regeneration of a Gloucestershire town were treated to a guided tour of the work so far.
A guided tour of the new Gloucestershire College campus in Cinderford was laid for delegates with main contractor Gloucester-based Barnwood Construction, and others on hand to answer questions.
Gloucestershire College's investment in the Cinderford Northern Quarter is the anchor development for the Cinderford regeneration project and is the culmination of many years of partnership working to bring this about.
It is hoped that when complete the project will have pulled in £100 million of investment.
Tim Holder, vice-chair of the Cinderford Regeneration Board, said: "The Forest needs to raise aspirations and help social mobility in this area and the new Gloucestershire College facility in Cinderford is going to play a major part in this.
"It has been a real eye-opener today to see how well the new building is coming together and the amount of care being taken to achieve a good quality build by contractors Barnwood Construction.
"I look forward to seeing the doors of this impressive building opening to students in September".
Simon Carey, managing director of Barnwood Construction, said: "We are delighted to be undertaking this prestigious project in the Forest of Dean and playing our part in the regeneration of Cinderford."
Matt Burgess, principal at Gloucestershire College, said: "The contractors continue to make remarkable progress in transforming this site into a 21st Century College ready to welcome students in September 2018.
"The combination of the stunning location and incredible facilities will make this a unique place to study in the UK. I can't wait for it to open."
