Biggest names in music and comedy on the menu at Cheltenham Racecourse

Fresh announcements see the prestigious Gloucestershire venue heading for a record year of entertainment.

The home of jump racing is gearing up to welcome four massive showbiz names to the town in a frenetic three-month period.

English-born, Italian-raised indie icon Jack Savoretti has announced he will be making a stop at The Centaur on Thursday, October 31, giving fans the chance to hear brand-new music from his latest album Singing to Strangers.

Following on from Jack Savoretti will be another Jack, but this time its comedian Jack Whitehall who will be appearing in The Centaur on Monday, November 11.

Jack is firmly on the road to becoming a global megastar and he has television and movie roles that include Netflix's Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father, Channel 4's Meat, the BBC's Bad Education, as well as films such as The Bad Education Movie, Mother's Day, The Nutcracker and the upcoming Jungle Cruise.

Musical virtuoso Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will also be returning to Cheltenham later this year for their autumn/winter tour.

The musician and his band will be appearing once again in The Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday, November 9 as part of the 32-date tour.

Award-winning comedian and television presenter Rob Beckett is embarking on his biggest headline tour next year - making a stop to Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday, November 28 with the Wallop! Tour 2019.

The funnyman, dubbed the Mouth from the South, will be known to millions as the presenter of BBC1's All Together Now, the voice of Celeb's Go Dating or for appearances on Live at the Apollo.

Lee Moulson, regional head of sales at Cheltenham Racecourse, said: "We have an exciting few months ahead of us with some amazing talent.

"We are thrilled to announce Jack Savoretti and Jack Whitehall to the already excellent line-up of Jools Holland and Rob Beckett who are all ready to entertain.

"We are thrilled to have all the acts on the bill, but keep your eyes peeled for a few more announcements along the way."
