Bake Off winner and more at Gloucester Quays Food Festival

Looking for something to do this weekend? Why not head over to the South West's biggest food festival at Gloucester Quays?

Winner of TV's The Great British Bake Off, Candice Brown, Tom and Henry Herbert, better known as The Fabulous Baker Brothers from the Channel 4 TV series, and Stefan Gates of CBBC's Incredible Edibles will all host free demonstrations to showcase their culinary skills in the Cookery Theatre.

Plus there will be a chance to meet the chefs as they will be taking part in book signings at various times throughout the weekend.

Henry Herbert, who will be on stage with his brother Tom on Saturday, said: "We are really pleased to be a part of the Gloucester Quays Food Festival. "I love calling the Cotswolds my home. A place of amazing countryside, people and of course amazing food."

This year there will be fun for all the family, with plenty of free lawn games, including giant Connect4 and Jenga, throughout the weekend.

Gloucester Quays Centre Manager Matt Bird said: "This year we've made our food festival even more accessible for all, with the chef demonstrations being completely free to attend. All the cookery theatre seats are first-come, first-served so we urge people to arrive early if they'd like to be seated. There will also be plenty of standing room to give all visitors a chance to view the live shows.

"We've also got a fantastic live music line up with some of the biggest local bands over the three days of the event, which I'm sure are going to be hugely popular with our visitors."

The Food Festival Markets will feature a wide selection of products made by passionate stallholders selling everything from award-winning cuisine to weird and wonderful tipples.

The Lawn Stage will showcase an eclectic mix of live music to enjoy and will include sets from George Montague, Thrill Collins, The Strays, Quigley and more over the weekend.

Here at Punchline, we love to see the Quays buzzing with visitors for the food festival. And we hope it will mean a busy weekend for traders across the city too - with visitors checking out the shops and restaurants in the Quays and city centre, as well as the festival.

The food festival takes place from today (28th July) until Sunday (30th July).
