Tenders sought for £2.76m council contracts

Tenders are being sought for council contract work totalling £2,760,000.

Gloucestershire County Council has issued an invitation to tender on behalf of Ubico Ltd and are seeking a single supplier to join a framework agreement for the management of haulage, sale/disposal of recycling products.

The framework agreement will be divided into three lots for 48-month contracts: one for Forest of Dean District Council (£480,000 excl VAT), one for Cotswold District Council (£1,800,000) and one for West Oxfordshire District Council (£480,000).

The deadline for receipt of tenders is 5pm on Tuesday, May 28.

Part-owned by a network of local authorities, Ubico currently provides grounds maintenance services in the Forest of Dean as well as delivering waste and recycling services for the five other local authorities in Gloucestershire as well as West Oxfordshire, in addition to managing the household recycling centres on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council.

Last year, Forest of Dean District Council agreed to award the delivery of its kerbside waste collection and recycling service to Ubico. The move will take place when the current contract comes up for renewal at the end of July this year.
