Armed robbery at upmarket jewellers

An audacious day-light armed raid on an up-market Cheltenham jewellers has left staff shaken.

But despite the windows of Bakers Fine Jewellery being smashed in the raid a call to the business today confirms it is 'open as usual'.

Police were called to Montpellier Walk jewellers in Cheltenham at 11.17am yesterday (Tuesday) with a report of an armed robbery.

Three people were arrested in connection with the incident and have since been released from custody without charge.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.

Anyone who has information relating to the incident is asked to call police on 101 and reference 122 of 20 November.

Alternatively call independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
