Amazon launches own label fashion

It has been selling fashion online for years, but now Amazon wants a bigger bite of the clothing market.

The online giant quietly launched its own label fashion range last week, as reported by Retail Gazette .

The collection, called Find, is said to include 400 key pieces in womenswear and menswear. The range is competitively priced and currently only available to Amazon Prime members.

It is thought there will be a proper launch of the range in the summer.

Here at Punchline we have no doubt that Amazon will make a real success of its fashion range, just as it has with every other market it has entered over the years. With Amazon's power and dominance in the online market, we expect to see this hit both high street and independent clothing stores.

We've got some great independent and high street fashion stores across the county. Amazon has already cornered the market in books, entertainment and electronics, if we want to continue to enjoy our high street fashion stores, we need to use them rather than taking the easy way out and clicking on Amazon.
