Alder King expands planning team

Gloucester-based property consultancy Alder King has announced two new appointments to its planning team.

Julian Bolitho has joined the practice as a partner, bringing more 30 years' planning experience in the private and public sectors.

Mr Bolitho has successfully advised clients throughout the UK across a range of development sectors, including healthcare, education, residential, commercial and R&D. He joined Alder King from Tetra Tech and is said to be another key appointment in the continued growth of the planning team.

Also joining the firm is James Tarpy, a recent graduate of Newcastle University with a MSc in Urban Planning.

Mr Tarpy specialises in place-based urban regeneration, in particular the use of culture and heritage in master planning. He will provide vital resource to the team and gain valuable experience while working towards achieving chartered membership of the RTPI.

Sarah Hawkins, partner and head of Alder King's planning team said: "This is an exciting time for the planning team. The continued investment in new personnel broadens our capability in different sectors and allows us to offer expert advice in a range of sectors right across the UK.

"Julian is a very experienced practitioner who enhances our senior strategic capability while James is just starting his career and will have the opportunity to learn his craft from a highly skilled group of planning professionals. We're delighted to welcome them both."
