Albright IP expands its reach

Cheltenham-based patent and trade mark attorneys Albright IP has announced its acquisition of the client portfolio of JDIP Ltd.

The deal comes as Bristol-based JDIP's founder and patent attorney, John Dean, takes a step back from the industry to enter retirement.

Since its inception in 2015, JDIP Ltd has earned a strong reputation as a key player in the intellectual property domain, and John Dean, the former partner of a major firm in Bristol, has been instrumental in its success.

Robert Games, managing director at Albright IP, said: "We have made a deal to purchase the clients of the company. Most of the clients have now been engaged with and are moving forward with Albright IP.

"We look forward to working with JDIP's clients and showcasing the broad range of IP sector experts we have within Albright IP.

"Clients will also benefit from our in-house trade mark department, which will be able to support the branding exercises of clients' moving forwards."

Albright IP's expanded team of experts will now serve the former JDIP clients, ensuring a smooth continuation of their intellectual property journeys.

The acquisition allows Albright IP to strengthen its already extensive presence across the South West, particularly in Bristol. Furthermore, this venture has already led to collaborations with excellent referral partners in the Bristol area, previously associated with JDIP, creating new beneficial relationships.

Robert expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to support these clients, adding: "We're delighted to be involved in assisting some of the clients who are on growth journeys of their own and have significant IP interests. We're looking forward to supporting them in that process.

"I would also like to thank John Dean for approaching Albright IP and giving us the opportunity to expand our client base and develop our firm further throughout the South West."

With a customer-centric approach, Albright IP remains dedicated to serving its clients to the best of its ability. The firm is committed to supporting the business goals of each client and fostering long-lasting partnerships that nurture innovation and safeguard intellectual property assets.
