A historic building in Gloucester city centre will be auctioned off this week.

The four-storey Victorian property, formerly known as Mynd house, will go under the hammer this Thursday (Oct 23) with a guide price of £565,000.
It was built in Eastgate Street circa 1800 for William Fendall, a barrister and banker who invested in the Forest Of Dean's Bullo Pill Railway.

In the mid to late 19th century it was altered to include shops along the street frontage with recent occupants including House of Gracious hair salon, a tattoo parlour and vape shop.

The main Grade II listed property was used as offices for years before being converted back into homes.
It now contains eight self-contained flats, comprising two two-beds and six one-beds.
The property, which sits close to the GL1 leisure centre, has secure off-road parking, electric heating and water systems, an intercom door entry and double glazing.
The development will be among 179 lots appearing in Bond Wolfe's next auction which is due to start at 8.30am on Thursday.
Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: "This is a significant investment opportunity on one of Gloucester's four central streets which dates back to Roman times when they established a Roman fort at Kingsholm in 48 AD on the site of the city which soon became the Roman settlement of Glevum.
"Gloucester is a vibrant city with a very popular Premiership rugby club at Kingsholm stadium less than a mile away, and an exciting hospitality offering with a wealth of bars, restaurants and clubs."
The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe's website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet.
