Freemans appoints new commercial partnerships director

Gloucester-based event Freeman Events Partners has appointed Dan O'Gorman as its new commercial partnerships director, bringing a wealth of experience and strategic insight to the role.

Dan will lead the global growth strategy for Freemans' new partnerships division with a focus on evolving its experiential, sponsorship and activation value proposition across the business' current portfolio of events, new venue partners and live music festivals.

Dan said: "In an AI-driven market where brands are battling to win faster, innovate better and grow more sustainably in the attention economy, investing strategically in authentic and engaging consumer-brand experiences has never been so important.

"Showing up where it matters is integral in converting consumers to brand fans, and the unique opportunities that live experiences have in creating this journey is a fantastic way for brands to re-frame their shop window.

"I'm hugely excited to join Freemans at this pivotal moment as the business elevates its live experiential offering with enhanced digital and social capabilities to curate a hyper-personalised 360 brand-fan experience at scale, driving value for our partners."

Dan joins Freemans from growth agency 'Monumental Marketing', where he served as chief commercial officer. With more than a decade of expertise spanning omni-channel strategic partnerships, social commerce, brand sponsorship, digital media, and growth marketing, Dan has delivered impactful commercial strategies across global markets.

Prior to Monumental, Dan was the EMEA brand partnerships director at US tech giant Bazaarvoice, a global leader in user-generated content, retail technology and digital marketing. There, he led partnership growth for some of the company's fastest-growing clients, including COTY, Charlotte Tilbury, Intersnack, Spinmaster, and Liberty.

Dan's impressive career also includes a number of leadership roles as commercial director, where he has driven transformational business outcomes and marketing activations for world-renowned brands such as Coca-Cola, GSK, Tesco, Deliveroo, Meta, BT, United Airlines, Lego, NBC Universal, Shell, DreamWorks, and Nike.

Natasha Thiebaut, chief commercial officer of Freemans Event Partners, said: "We're delighted to welcome Dan to the team. His track record really speaks for itself. As we continue to innovate across the live events sector, Dan's leadership will be instrumental in unlocking new opportunities and delivering exceptional value to our partners."

Freemans Event Partners is trusted by some of the world's most iconic venues and events including Silverstone, Allianz Stadium, Lord's Cricket Ground, Wembley Stadium, the DP World Tour, the Jockey Club and the Badminton Horse Trials.
