Teenage boy denies attempted murder in Gloucester

A teenage boy has denied the attempted murder of a younger girl in Gloucester in January 2024.

The 17-year-old youth will stand trial at Gloucester Crown Court on July 22m in connection to the alleged stabbing of a teenage girl in the Kingsway area of Gloucester on January 28, 2024.

The youth, flanked by two dock officers in the historic court in Gloucester, entered a not guilty plea to the single attempted murder charge.

Judge Ian Lawrie KC made a Section 45 court order preventing the names of both defendant and the victim being made public because of their ages.

The judge also turned to those in the public gallery and stated to them that this order also includes the use of any social media.

The youth was remanded into custody by the judge, until he stands trial in July 2024.
