Starbucks wants to open a new drive-thru at The Peel Centre in Gloucester.
Plans have been submitted by the retail park's owners to transform a section of the existing carpark into a coffee shop for the American brand.
The land is next to the former Cineworld building which is due to be transformed into a self-storage unit aimed at small businesses.
It is also just a stone's throw from the existing Costa drive-thru at the retail park.
Peel Land & Property Investments Plc has submitted a full planning application to Gloucester City Council to build the drive-thru coffee shop off St Ann Way.
The Starbucks would include 37 standard parking bays, two disabled bays and a large order waiting bay.
It would be built on 74 existing car parking spaces and result in the total number of car parking spaces at the retail park dropping from 855 to 810.
It would be open from 6am- 11pm Monday to Sunday and on bank holidays with customers able to pick up orders from a window or sit inside.
A one-way system at the drive-thru and give-way junction would be implemented.
Around 10 full-time and 10 part-time jobs are expected to be created as part of the plans.
A planning and design statement written by Alder King Planning Consultants on behalf of the applicant said: "The proposed development would provide an ancillary food and drink service facility for visiting customers and staff of the retail units.
"The customer base will be drawn predominantly from existing users of the facilities.
"Now that the former cinema building is going to be used as a self-storage unit with ancillary sales, the proposal will bring further investment to the Peel Centre."
