Man died following collision in Gloucester

A 44-year-old man has died following a collision in Gloucester on Friday morning, March 8.
Emergency services were called at around 8.25am with a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car on Finlay Road.
A Mini Countryman had driven onto the pavement, colliding with the man, resulting in head injuries.
The pedestrian was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he was treated for serious head injuries, but he died on Friday afternoon. The coroner and next of kin have been made aware.
Police closed the road for most of the day to conduct investigations. It was re-opened at 4.30pm.
Enquiries are continuing. No arrests have been made.
