Santa touches down at Cotswold Airport

The world's only Christmas Grotto based in a Boeing 747 provides a unique festive experience for the whole family.

When his sleigh lets Santa down, what better transport than a Negus 747 Jumbo-Jet!

With the festive season now upon us, The Flight Before Christmas opened at Cotswold Airport at the weekend and runs through to 24th December.

The adventure begins at the Elf Control Check In, where guests receive a boarding pass and customised North Pole passport. After passing through the naughty or nice security check-in scanner, a wacky elf-and-safety briefing is hosted by Peppermint, the mischievous Head Elf, and his cabin crew.

Guest witness elves wrapping last-minute presents in the parcel bay, mix magical fairy dust and create the perfect reindeer food to help ensure reindeer can deliver presents on time and meet Father Christmas himself!

Disembarking the aircraft you enter the Candy Cane Forest, cross the Gumdrop bridge and learn how to harvest magic fairy dust.

Settle down in the woodland clearing and watch a short cartoon about how Negus and Father Christmas became a team and worked together to save last Christmas.

Follow the sweet smell of fresh gingerbread to come and decorate your own treats, enter the Toy Factory to help assemble toys and make a special Christmas wish.

This is truly a unique and fun-filled day out, and every guest goes home with a teddy, a book from Father Christmas and a magical bag of reindeer food to take home ready for Christmas Eve. There's even the option to purchase additional costumes for your teddy to keep the magic going at home.

This world-first experience is guaranteed to create unforgettable memories for the whole family.

General admission tickets start at £39.50 per child and £20 per adult.
